Hi there!
My name is Quela, (pronounced “Kella”... kinda like “Kayla”... but with more “ella” and less “ayla”), and I design graphics and illustrations for The University of Florida’s Office of Strategic Communications and Marketing. Here, I collaborate with other designers, copywriters, and marketing specialists to ensure the University’s brand is visually represented in the best way possible.
I grew up on the Delaware coast, and moved to Florida to finish my degrees in Emerging Media - Graphic Design (B.F.A.) and Legal Studies (B.A.) at the University of Central Florida. Before joining the UF team, I worked as a graphic designer for the UCF College of Graduate Studies; I created a range of print and digital materials for both the college and the Office of Research.
As a designer, I enjoy developing exciting brand elements and promotional materials - my favorite projects are ones with just-enough challenges, where I can explore innovative solutions. In my free time, I can be found sampling coffees around town, streaming crime dramas, and tending to my ever-growing houseplant collection.
Please feel free to contact me with any inquiries or opportunities.
Thanks for the message! I'll get back to you as soon as possible.
